Update: Red Team Zero- Kan Four -Government Reopens

In Economics,General on October 16, 2013 by Robert Burke

“Silly” prevades this yet to be voted on debt ceiling deal as the proverbial Kan is looking at landing in January 2014 rather than tomorrow.

From Speaker Boehner:

“The House has fought with everything it has to convince the president of the United States to engage in bipartisan negotiations aimed at addressing our country’s debt and providing fairness for the American people under ObamaCare.  That fight will continue.”

I think Boehner missed the point of a shutdown and the risk of default. If he doesn’t default the red team is a toothless ninny and Obama knows it.  Shutting down the government and defaulting on it’s debt was pretty much the only chip he had, and now he wants to throw it in.  Does he really expect to have credibility the next go around?

Parents all around the world know, if you give in, it only gets worse- which also explains how we got here.  Unfortunately for the folically challenged, the stress of another shutdown still looms because as Boehner puts it, “Our drive to stop the train wreck that is the president’s health care law will continue.”

Not sure how much credibility you have left in that threat Johnny.  Because the red team’s credibility at tough negotiations is pretty much over.  The fork went in pretty easy.

Don’t worry red team, if you get depressed at least you still have Medicare Part D and Obamacare to pay for your pills.

Circus Friends.
